The Football Huddle

The Football Huddle, is where Colm Ahern, Andrew Knowles and Dan Murphy put their heads together and attempt to deconstruct the beautiful game, pass by pass. They might fail while doing so, but at least you can chuckle at their ineptness.

Pep Guardiola has Manchester City passing the ball around like Barcelona as Sterling, Silva, Nolito and company all prove their might against a lacklustre West Ham. Marcus Rashford nets for the red half of Manchester late-on as Mike Phelan's Hull City just lose out to United. And Chelsea demolish Burnley in a performance befitting of champions.

As well as that, the Bundesliga is competitive, Atleti are out of the Spanish title race and Dan regales Colm, Andrew, and you, the listener, stories from Soccer AM.

Also, Getting Bling With The Football Huddle is quickly becoming very reminiscent of last season.

Old Trafford's prodigal son of Paul Pogba returns and lives up to the hype, fitting in well with the superstar mentality that Mourinho is bringing back to the club. Liverpool's second game of the season is a shambles as Klopp's men can't convert their possession into goals as Burnley beat them 2-0 and some shadiness of Andre Gray's past is brought up. And the lads have never heard the words, "new directive," more than they ever have before.

As well as that, Bolton find themselves in the strange position of first in League Two, it's business as usual in La Liga and Biguain is packing in the goals as well as on the pounds.

Also, Getting Bling With The Football Huddle...isn't off to the best of starts...

Andrew and Dan return to look at the first week of the Premier League as Jurgen Klopp's Reds make Arsenal look terrible, Leicester fall at the first hurdle to Mike Phelan's Hull City and both Pep and Jose start their Manchester stories very well.

As well as that, Getting Bling with The Football Huddle is off to the start that almost everyone anticipated.

Colm, Andrew and Dan are back with the first episode of The Football Huddle of the 2016/17 football season. After a month long break between Ronaldo lifting the Euro 2016 trophy and the Zlatan's goal in the Community Shield, the lads have some predictions for the season ahead and they're here to give you them, in full.

As well as their outlandish crystal ball prophecies, they look at all the comings and goings in the Premier League, whether Leicester will replicate last season, how Arsenal will finish in fourth, whether Hull will do better than 20th, how the Jose/Pep rivalry will unfold and if Spurs will Spurs it.

As well as all that, they return reinvigorated and ready to set the world alight with their betting prowess in Getting Bling With The Football Huddle. Will Colm retain his crown? Is Andrew always destined to be the bridesmaid and never the bride? Will Dan win a single bet?

Join us as we look at what the football season has to offer for 2016/17.
