The Football Huddle

The Football Huddle, is where Colm Ahern, Andrew Knowles and Dan Murphy put their heads together and attempt to deconstruct the beautiful game, pass by pass. They might fail while doing so, but at least you can chuckle at their ineptness.

While it seems like everyone's finally coming to the realisation that the FA Cup's lustre has more or less died, the competition lives on in the results that benefit the likes of Sutton United and Lincoln City. Spurs luckily escaped the same embarrassment as Liverpool by narrowly defeating Wycombe with a late goal. The two Manchester sides took the cup a little bit more seriously than a few of their Premier League counterparts by fielding stronger sides and won their ties, respectively.

As well as that, we look at the potential goings and comings on Deadline Day in this week's Rumour Has It and Joey Barton's Banterman Bonanza goes the competitive route, this week.

All this plus Getting Bling With The Football Huddle where a lost episode puts the table into question.

While Everton are one of the Premier League's more inconsistent sides, they were impeccable against Man City, beating them 4-0 with Tom Davies coming out a superstar. Man United and Liverpool battled to a 1-1 draw where we saw the excellence of Zlatan and the disappearance of Paul Pogba. And on a more sombre note, Watford legend Graham Taylor passed away last week, but the tributes for the man during Watford's game against Boro were lovely to see.

As well as that, we look at the potential of another club in Paris and Juventus' brand new badge in TWO BRAND NEW SEGMENTS.

All this plus Getting Bling With The Football Huddle where you know the score.

This was a particularly boring FA Cup Third Round as more or less all the big boys went through, but not without a few stories attached. Wayne Rooney equalled the goal-scoring record of Sir Bobby Charlton as Man United stuck four past Reading. Bournemouth were one of the few Premier League sides that were truly crushed by minnows as Eddie Howe decided to field a very weakened side. But more importantly than all that, Dan Murphy's Colls were victorious in the FA Vase.

As well as that, the world team of the year was announced and FIFA has expanded the World Cup in 2026 to include 48 teams which has divided The Huddle.

All this plus Getting Bling With The Football Huddle where we're starting to question this new way of doing things.

The Premier League fixture list was crazy over the past few days, but the lads try to tackle it head on, with a smile, mainly because manager of Manchester City, Pep Guardiola, would want it that way.

Despite beating Burnley, Guardiola didn't appear overly happy and questions are being asked about his mental state. Man United have been lucky lately with referee decisions, but Mike Dean certainly stole the show in their match against West Ham. And Tony Pulis has transformed West Brom into a goal-scoring, winning side, with Euro 2016 hero, Hal Robson-Kanu, even getting in on the act at the weekend.

All this plus Getting Bling With The Football Huddle where no bets were successful. Surprise.
