The Football Huddle

The Football Huddle, is where Colm Ahern, Andrew Knowles and Dan Murphy put their heads together and attempt to deconstruct the beautiful game, pass by pass. They might fail while doing so, but at least you can chuckle at their ineptness.

The FA Cup 5th round proved more entertaining than we envisioned as Wigan's Will Grigg was on fire against Man City, and Rochdale's big Steve Davies came up trumps against Spurs. But the real story of the week revolved around four West Brom players, a few bags of chips, and a taxi in Barcelona.

Joey Barton's Banterrific Banterman Bonanza has a cross Mick McCarthy, a foolish Marek Hamsik, and a wonderful Twitter exchange.

All this plus Win, Lose, or Draw where our predictions continue to get us points.

Paul Pogba was hauled off the pitch as Man United lost 1-0 to Newcastle United leading many to believe there's trouble between the £90m man and his boss.  Spurs bossed their North London rivals around the pitch as Lacazette couldn't convert in front of goal. And we pay tribute to the late Liam Miller who lost his life to pancreatic cancer last Friday.

The Champions League is back again and brings with it some poor predictions, Wes Hoolahan has retired from international football, and Sky Sports have even more football to show you from next year.

Joey Barton's Banterrific Banterman Bonanza has a lot of balls (and past that there isn't much to say, really.

Aubameyang has arrived at the Emirates and factored into Arsenal's 5-1 demolition of Everton, but Ramsey and Mkhitaryan contributed a bit, too. While penalties may have dominated the discussion around Liverpool and Spurs' 2-2 draw, let's not forget that we saw two impeccable goals from Wanyama and Salah on the day, too. And does Antonio Conte want to leave Chelsea already? Like, is he actively trying to get sacked from the club?

Joey Barton's Banterrific Banterman Bonanza returns and features an unfit (and angry) Adam Lallana, and a wonderful piece of Scandinavian analysis.

All this plus Win, Lose, or Draw where one of the lads scores an important win.
